Our team

Tristan grew up with a dad who was – and is – a hairdresser: time and again during elementary school, he would sneak out of after-school care at lunchtime or at the end of the day to slip into François’ salon, where he enjoyed labeling products or sweeping the floor! Very early on, he showed an interest in taking over the family business, even choosing to study business administration at university. But his father also encouraged him to get his hands dirty, to fully understand the business, the employees’ experiences, and the customers’ needs. And it was through his contact with color that a second vocation was born: he quickly became fascinated by the technical aspects of the business, the chemistry of the ingredients, and the arrangement of colors. He perfected his skills, and after taking courses, he even taught them!

Having climbed all the rungs of the ladder, he now juggles the creative side of his job as a colorist with the more administrative side of his role as co-owner. Combining human contact, artistic activity, and business development, Tristan finds his work stimulating. He is delighted to see the next generation settling in at U Salon boutique and several different generations of stylists working together. More specifically, if you’re looking for flawless blonde highlights or dimensional shades (à la Jennifer Anniston or Jessica Alba), Tristan will make your dreams come true! And while he’s at it, he’ll surely enjoy chatting with you about restaurants, travel, and his little boy, who was born in early 2026!
